Been ill yesterday till this morning and I thought I couldn't do any workout today so just incase I waist trained this morning for 4 hours.
This season is the season of food! ---chocolates, greasy, fatty and un healthy foods! ..Although I won't complain it only comes once a year and we all better enjoyed it! My last workout was Thursday 23rd and since then I've been bad! of course Christmas Eve dinner is on and yes I ate a bit much than I should have (hey my mum does good food! lol) chocolates everywhere and drinking! and it's only today I've been back to working out and had to sweat out all I had the past few days. Just had our annual family trip and usually its somewhere out of the country, but since we got too many plans in the upcoming months we decided to stay in the country and where else is better to go? London of course! haha
Walked around London, took photos, ate a lot! omg! and of course bonded :) The busiest time of the year and we went to one of the busiest cities in the world! (all year actually). Nothing to say about it really its really straight forward and yes it was always fun with the family! After two weeks of home workout I finally went back to the gym and I hit it hard today! I started by doing a lot of Cardio and I have to make myself pumped up and burning before I do my initial workouts. I went back to deadlifting again today, I did 3 sets of 20 in 18.5kg and 25.5kg each side. Did some lateral lunges and my squats, deep and bouncing squats 2 sets of 40. Mustn't forget the core and I did several crunches and leg lifts in bars/handles (not sure what's really called) and my workout wouldn't be complete with my leg workouts, I did 50reps on my thighs and 40reps on my calfs on the horizontal leg press and I felt the burn on my leg and gluteus! Been focusing more on my booty this past few days, I am working extra hard on squats and leg exercises and the results are showing fast! I workout 3-4x a week and when I have the extra energy I do it 5 days. 3/5 I do my squats and I do deep squats and bouncing squats. It burns on my lower body but I like it when I can feel the pain it makes me want to do it more! :) (weird huh?) haha Anyway here is my booty pic update. This was from my workout last night (2200hrs) I think I need to take my photos in a much clearer shot don't I? haha
Anyway work hard! :) -Lei xo Yes I know the iPad was un-necessary but I was in bed listening to my morning jams before I head to my workout. Woke up today feeling refreshed and once I stood up I immediately changed to my workout gear. Excited to use my new H&M printed workout leggings and of course mustn't forget my Apple Watch in white sports band. Seriously I live in this watch! I can't go anywhere without it. As we all know it not only tells time its tells almost everything! Calories, walks, stands, heart rate etc. and it all benefits on my fitness journey. It may not be as accurate but I keep on track on my body transformation and calorie because of it.
Today was my 'focus on your core day' I worked out extra hard on my core today. I made sure I tighten up my core while I do my crunches and planks. I did all my usual workout on my legs, shoulders and butt. I did 3x30 deep squats with 8kg on one set and it was tough! legs were shaking on the last count. But it was worth the pain! "NO PAIN NO GAIN!!!" here are my update from my todays workout. Am I ready for the beach? Am I ready to wear a bikini? The answer is yeas I am ready for the beach, but not quite on the bikini part yet :P
I have been maintaining my food intake and diet. I haven't been on my constant workout routine because of work but I do try to fit it in on my days off and sometimes after work (after a 13hrs shift) YES! that is dedication! lol. Whenever I feel down or not feeling the best of myself I workout to sweat all the stress and frustrations I have with myself and my body. Definitely working out gives me the good feeling and the satisfaction what I am wanting, which is always a good thing! I want to share my workout routine. I'm not a professional trainer or whatsoever but this workouts has worked (for me anyways) and I'm sure with the motivation and dedication you put in it, it will work on you too! - When you're only a beginner or just about to start working out I suggest to take it easy don't go to the "pro" stage. Let's say you wanted to make your 'butt' bigger or rounder, of course it wont grow in minutes it takes time. - I suggest you do cardio first (e.g. Dancing, Running or other exercise that requires your body to sweat and keep your heart pumping) and that's good! - build that endurance and strength! - take breaks (I did 30-60 sec water breaks) - to build upper body do planks and spiders lunge. Having your body in control is best! - then when after I had control of my upper strength then the lower body comes next! (that will be on my next post :P) - Eat the right food. I love my eggs and meat, so thats a good source of protein for muscle building. Have a good workout!!! Much love, Lei <3 |
